snom technology AG has introduced snom MeetingPoint, an SIP-based conference phone for the North American enterprise and SMB markets, at VoiceCon Orlando 2009. Designed for both medium and large meeting rooms, snom MeetingPoint features Konftel’s OmniSound 2.0 audio conferencing technology with advanced noise suppression and high-fidelity wideband audio. Featuring snom’s fourth-generation SIP technology, snom MeetingPoint provides enterprise businesses and SMBs with the same SIP calling features and broad compatibility with standards-based IP PBX, hosted VoIP and unified communications solutions as snom’s 820 and 3XX series desktop VoIP phones.
MeetingPoint allows for management of up to four external participants; simultaneous management of internal and external telephone listings; support of contact listings; integrated snom Flexor CTI; and conference recording capabilities.
snom MeetingPoint’s three-speaker design is equipped with full duplex broadband audio (7 kHz, codec G.722) enabling it to support large meeting groups of up to 10 people without affecting the clarity of the call. For larger meetings, snom MeetingPoint can increase its range by adding expansion microphones.
The snom MeetingPoint VoIP conference phone is available in the U.S. and Mexico through snom’s network of North American distributors and resellers at $899.
