AT&T Union Workers to Strike if Contract Talks Go Awry

In an era where most employees have little say in how much they pay for health care coverage, AT&T Inc. (T) workers plan to strike if contract talks – mainly involving insurance costs – go awry.

AT&T wants employees to shoulder more of their health insurance premiums but the nearly 113,000 members of the Communications Workers of America union don’t like the idea.

Both sides have until April 4 to reach an agreement. If that doesn’t happen, CWA members say they’ll go on strike.
