Armed with a new unified product set of IP solutions — including MPLS VPN and SIP trunking — One Communications (Booth 1313) has declared its intentions to establish itself as a leading provider of IP services.
In addition to an enhanced product line, the CLEC is also rapidly growing its indirect channel sales. The company reports that it is among the few that are significantly investing resources in indirect channel growth this year while others are facing tough decisions based on economic conditions.
In support of its increased indirect channel sales goal, One Communications recently appointed Michael Fair as vice president, alternate channels. Fair left the day-to-day responsibilities of his consulting firm, MarketRace, to put his 25 years’ experience in developing strategic alliances in the telecommunications industry to work for One Communications. The company hopes that Fair’s vision for developing an industry-leading channel partner program will allow them to attain rapid revenue and profit growth while radically increasing the percentage of business sold through the indirect channel.
One Communications has also amended their program to include the creation of an agent support group, establish a training program specifically geared towards the needs of channel partners and refine customer care. More improvements are planned for the first quarter of 2009.
Those interested in learning more about the One Communications channel partner program are invited to attend the company’s Partner Cocktail Reception at the Wine Cellar in the lower level of the Rio Hotel & Casino on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are available at the One Communications booth.
