Telecom Industry Layoff Tracker: Cisco Joins the Fray

The day after Nortel Networks said it’s laying off 3,200 more workers, bellwether Cisco Systems Inc. announced job cuts of its own. The initial numbers are small – 250 – but they could go as high as 1,750.
