Cisco Pitches Into Partner Bailout

Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) has unveiled its Navigate To Accelerate initiative, providing three new programs to help partners focus on finance and steer through America’s economic downturn.

The first program is a core acceleration promotion, geared toward encouraging partners to target the core networks of companies, an area that might have been overlooked in recent times but could still provide some sales opportunities. Partners are encouraged to do network assessments to find opportunities for upgrades and replacements, and to incent this, the customers can receive $1,000 – $3,000 per assessment in rebates.

Cisco is also launching an SMB Partner Practice Builder, which offers tips and tools for partners interested in building business around unified communications.

Thirdly, Cisco Capital is offering extended 90-day financing to select partners.
