Twist Networks Inc.’s nationwide SIP trunking services have been certified with Strata CIX IP business communication systems from Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division. The services are now available to Authorized Toshiba Dealers.
The certification is the latest announced by Toshiba. The gearmaker earlier announced interoperability with IP services from AT&T Inc., Broadcore Inc. and IPtimize Inc.. It also announced a special interop agreement with PAETEC wherein Toshiba also became a national master sales agent for the carrier.
Using Twist Networks IP trunks, Strata CIX users with as few as four trunks, can get the benefits of DID without the expense of having a PRI or having to upgrade to a larger system.
Twist’s services come with packages that include up to 1,000 minutes of unlimited long-distance and are specifically designed for the needs of companies with five to 500 employees. Twist’s services are delivered through a single connection with domestic local and long-distance, as well as international calls to Canada included in the base rate.
According to a company press statement, Twist’s trunks connect to the Strata CIX through least-cost routing so that the transition to the new service is virtually invisible to users and allows customers to start saving immediately, even if they want to maintain some or all of their current phone connections during the transition.
