CosmoCom announced HP will become a global reseller of CosmoCom’s CosmoCall Universe (CCU), an all-IP contact center platform. The agreement will enable HP’s direct sales force and its channel partners to resell CCU integrated with the HP OpenCall Media Platform (HP OCMP) to enterprises and service providers.
The integrated offering brings together CosmoCom’s next-generation contact center with HP’s voice/video services platform, integration services organization and worldwide support capability.
According to the companies, customers that use the HP OpenCall Media Platform with CCU will be able to develop contact centers more rapidly and deploy them more securely.
CosmoCall Universe provides the live communication side of the platform, with its unified contact center suite, including inbound and outbound ACD, CTI, and reporting and administrative tools. It is a high-capacity, high-availability, multitenant platform that supports multichannel contacts via telephone, video phone, Internet and e-mail.
The HP OpenCall Media Platform is an IP-based media server that integrates with existing network architectures.
“The reseller agreement between CosmoCom and HP makes sense,” said Daniel Hong, lead analyst of Customer Interaction Technologies at Datamonitor. “CosmoCom broadens its channel with HP, while HP gains a product line that complements its OpenCall Media Platform.”
