One week after BroadSoft Inc. said it had acquired Sylantro Systems for terms that were undisclosed, Broadsoft has confirmed it will support and utilize the Sylantro channel to sell the company’s products. This follows BroadSoft’s acquisition of Genband’s M6 application server business, which significantly expanded its customer base.
“Traditionally, BroadSoft’s indirect channel strategy consisted of leading OEMs such as Ericsson, Huawei and Alcatel-Lucent. As part of BroadSoft’s ongoing global growth strategy and to complement its OEM strategy, the company launched a Channel Partner Program last year, which focuses on recruiting and developing highly-specialized resellers for developing markets,” explained Ken Rokoff, vice president of business development at BroadSoft. “Similarly to the M6 acquisition, BroadSoft will work with/leverage Sylantro channel partners to promote and distribute its products.”
