ADTRAN Inc. (ADTN) has announced n-Command MSP, a network management platform for remote monitoring and management of ADTRAN NetVanta or Total Access converged networking solutions. This Web-based platform simplifies new device deployment and enables Managed Service Providers (MSPs), service providers and enterprise IT organizations to deliver on service level agreements, improve customer service response times, reduce network downtime and proactively monitor and report the performance of VoIP networks, all while reducing operational costs, the company said.
The ADTRAN n-Command MSP platform allows network managers to view and report current and historical VoIP performance statistics, automate individual or network-wide firmware upgrades and configuration backups, simplify installation and turn up, improve asset tracking and inventory management, and monitor and report on the overall health of the network by location or customer.
The ADTRAN n-command MSP platform offers a browser-based graphical user interface and management dashboard. These tools allow for point-and-click operations for monitoring and management of ADTRAN network solutions.
“The n-Command MSP platform not only offers a wealth of operational benefits, but also allows for the creation of new business opportunities for our Value Added Resellers (VARs),” said Tim Saunders, vice president, product management, ADTRAN Enterprise Networks Division. “These partners can now leverage the widely deployed base of NetVanta and Total Access converged networking solutions, as a means to offer enhanced services, and increase recurring revenue, all without additional headcount.”
The n-Command MSP system is compatible with NetVanta Multiservice IP Routers, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Gigabit Ethernet Switches and IP Telephony products as well as the Total Access line of IP Business Gateways. No external network probes or agents are required.
The n-Command MSP system includes an ADTRAN NetVanta Server 450, a compact, 1U, 19-inch rackmount server that can support up to 5,000 remotely managed devices. The ADTRAN n-Command MSP system, including the NetVanta Server 450 and licensing and maintenance for the first 12 months, is priced at $8,995.
