Telecom NZ, Pactolus Offer White-Label Int’l Prepaid

Telecom New Zealand International (TNZI) will offer MSOs a white-label way to add new international services like prepaid long-distance, using Pactolus Communications’ SIPware Prepaid Service.

TNZI is expanding to offer a new suite of white-label services that allow its retail MSO and IP service provider customers to brand and offer subscribers transparently layered prepaid international long-distance “bucket-of-minutes” plans.

These are rated in real time until depleted, and are built on top of existing VoIP services. The idea is for MSOs to more successfully compete against free and flat-rate VoBB international calling services to prevent subscriber attrition.

The capabilities integrate seamlessly with pre-existing core VoIP services and it allows subscribers to add value-priced international dialing capabilities to their current postpaid VoIP accounts, so they can access the service without additional dialing or account authentication processes.

The companies are holding a Webinar with xchange magazine on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. EST / 11 a.m. PST. The event will focus on streamlining the service integration process with SIP-based SDPs and innovative service-creation tools, enabling service customization initiatives. The panelists also will address strategies for how to compete effectively by taking advantage of the flexibility inherent in enhanced IP services, with a specific focus on issues such as competing against free and flat-rate VoIP international calling services and preventing subscriber attrition.
