Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. is taking a dive back into the U.S. laptop market with a series of lightweight notebooks.
The ultralight models are poised to compete with Apple’s MacBook Air. Apple also unveiled today an all new MacBook notebook family featuring a new design at a lower price. Samsung will rely heavily on channel relationships as is re-enters the market, calling on distributors such as CDW and Newegg in early 2009.
