Among leading WAN service providers, AT&T and Verizon get the highest grades from their business customers overall, while Sprint ranked highest among enterprise users for being positioned to meet future service requirements, according to a new study by In-Stat.
The research, “Carrier Scorecard: WAN Data Service Providers” covers the U.S. market for WAN services and provides analysis of data from a survey of users of WAN data services that work in organizations with multiple business locations and have at least 50 employees.
The study found enterprise users consistently rate their service providers higher than small and medium business (SMB) users.
Another key finding of the study: Cable companies and alternative carriers have some catching up to do when compared to the leading WAN carriers. Carrier customers, when compared to cable company customers, feel significantly stronger that their provider understands and addresses issues related to size of business.
