NGT Puts Response Point in Agents Hands

New Global Telecom (NGT) on Monday launched the long-awaited Digital Voice Agent Program, finally putting Microsoft Corp.’s Response Point system into its channel partners’ hands.

Cbeyond, the other Microsoft-certified VoIP provider, started selling Response Point through its agents last month. Before that, Response Point had been selling in the retail ecosystem through NGT has planned since April to pair its VoIP services with the Response Point IP PBX.

NGT Digital Voice Services target small businesses. Features include all of the basics, such as local number porting and directory listing, as well as FCC-compliant 911, toll-free service, and on-demand audio-Web conferencing.

NGT pays agents monthly recurring revenue. The company doesn’t require contractual commitments, fees or exclusivity.

“NGT has been very professional and responsive, which is exactly what we are looking for in a good partner,” said Eric Rieger of WEBIT Services in Illinois in a NGT-prepared statement. “We’re excited to get going in the VoIP services market selling NGT Digital Voice.”
