SkyPort Global Communications Inc., which is making a big push to bring simple-to-sell satellite broadband to agents, said Wednesday that it plans to detail a revamped, three-tier version of the company’s SkyPartner program on Aug. 18 at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Boston.
“We have made significant changes to our program to provide channel partners with greater and easier access to SkyPort’s award-winning service and support through both custom and standard products,” said Michael Polmar, vice president of sales for SkyPort. “We have also greatly simplified the program to focus on rewarding partners in three different tiers versus the original program that had eight different tracks.”
SkyPort has made the creation of a channel partner network — both agents and resellers — one of its fundamental goals, it said, to tap the growing broadband data opportunities in disaster recovery and underserved areas.
“We believe that a solid reseller program is an important component of offering customers the support and service they need to keep their business or operation running smoothly 24/7, wherever they may be,” said Patrick Brant, president and CEO of SkyPort. “We are always looking at better ways to manage our channel and work with our resellers to give them the tools and support they need to be successful. This latest release is evidence of that.”
The program includes comprehensive training, and a suite of online tools for channel and customer service management, including sales tracking.
