SMC Offers Managed Services Platform for Channel Partners

SMC Networks unveiled a new Managed Services Platform, which gives VARs the capability to monitor a customer’s LAN.

SMC’s solution enables the partners in its Elite Partner Program to service their clients with monitoring and proactive technical installation and assistance backed by SMC’s engineering support.

The Managed Services Platform provides the VAR the tools with which to provide a defined level of support for SMC LAN gear, at a predictable price.

With it they can deliver services such as network monitoring, patch management, user state management, scheduled software deployment and systems management and more.

The platform offers cross-platform support for PC and Mac users; scripting for systems and software deployment; LAN discovery capability; proactive monitoring and alerts; and integrated helpdesk and trouble ticketing. These functions are backed with management reporting.

Firewalls, encryption and access control ensure in-network security, while Web access is regulated via an optional SMCMSP Endpoint Security module. SMC’s Managed Services Platform also can offer fully automated real-time backup for on- and off-site storage.
