partnerTel Inc. has acquired Bonfire IT, an Atlanta-based information technology company. Terms of the deal, which closed on March 1, were not revealed. All Bonfire IT employees will remain employed with partnerTel, the company said.
The Bonfire IT acquisition will help partnerTel build enterprise tech-nology products for its customers and allow the company to provide consulting for both IT and telecom solutions. The deal also will enable the company to provide a suite of IT value-added professional and man-aged services from IT outsourcing and hosting, infrastructure support, integrated communications and executive IT strategy.
“Technology changes and solution convergence are creating enormous op-portunity,” said Remington Reynolds, partnerTel chairman. “We’re creating a company with much better solutions capability to seize these opportunities while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.”
The acquisition has formed “partnerTel IT Services” which will allow partnerTel to forge new relationships with customers, create new lines of business such as VAR channel programs and strengthen its IT out-sourcing capabilities, the company said.
