Mushroom Networks Inc. has unveiled the TRUFFLE (BBNA6401) broadband bonding solution targeting the enterprise, multitenant buildings and broadband service provider markets.
The solution will be for sale through VARs and independent agents.
Developed to bridge the gap of limited bandwidth options available for expanding local networks, the TRUFFLE bonds together as many as six high-speed Internet connections forming a virtual single broadband pipe. In addition, any combination of access technologies including DSL, cable modem, T1 circuits or fiber can be blended resulting in download speeds of up to 65mbps or the option to link multiple TRUFFLES for even higher bandwidth potential, the company said.
TRUFFLE provides this high-speed bonded link access to the Internet by optimizing the use of available connection resources without requiring coordination with the ISPs or any changes to the local network. Dissimilar types of broadband access can be combined in any manner resulting in greater reliability due to the redundancy of the connected links. If one or more of the bonded links fails or is degraded, TRUFFLE transparently spreads the traffic across the remaining links in real time without any interruptions, said Mushroom Networks. Connections can be scaled as needed without requiring the network to be taken off-line.
TRUFFLE includes an internal router and firewall capability that can be enabled by the user as needed. Other Internet services such as port-forwarding, static IP, dynamic IP, PPPoE, DHCP, DMZ, UPnP and Dynamic DNS are all supported by Mushroom Networks TRUFFLE product.
Our patent-pending bonding technology allows local networks to mix and match various broadband access methods for higher throughput capacity and redundancy while scaling resources based on immediate needs, said Dr. Cahit Akin, co-founder and CEO of Mushroom Networks. LECs and Internet service providers can also capitalize by cost-effectively bundling the reliability of T1 and speeds of DSL or cable together in a single service.
Akin said since the TRUFFLE BBNA is a standalone, one-sided network bonding device, VARs can install, manage and grow their customers Internet access needs with no additional provisioning requirements from the ISPs.
The added reliability to their customers’ network through TRUFFLE BBNA will reduce any unscheduled network outages to a minimum, said Akin. The TRUFFLE BBNA is super-easy to install through its Web-based user interface that can be managed remotely and the quick installation of TRUFFLE does not require any changes to an existing office network. Simply put, TRUFFLE is the most cost-effective way to broadband bond several Internet access lines for higher speed and higher reliability.
The TRUFFLE is now shipping. Mushroom Networks currently is seeking IT consultancies, distributors, VARs and LECs as channel partners. Partners can take advantage of Mushroom Networks Gold Partnership program with full partner technical support, reseller discounts, access to Web-based remote demos and TRUFFLE BBNA demo unit availability.
