Vyew and FreeConference announced they have entered into a strategic partnership to create new conferencing services using each others proprietary conferencing platform and technologies.
Under the agreement, both companies are embedding the partners service into their respective solutions. Vyew subscribers who want conference calling while collaborating online can click on a Free Conference Calls button within Vyew for instant access to FreeConference.coms reservationless conference call service. This combination provides the first free Web conferencing service with free integrated audio, the companies said.
FreeConference is offering its users a new service called SharePlus desktop sharing based on Vyew technology. Now in beta, it allows the sharing of documents and applications in real time during a teleconference with just one simple click.
This new partnership allows us to provide the next level of conferencing to our users starting with basic desktop sharing and then full web conferencing using advanced features of the Vyew platform, said Alex B. Cory, CEO of FreeConference. We selected Vyew because it let us create our own custom version of its product tailored to our own users needs. It is entirely browser-based with no client installations and it is easy to use. We have received enthusiastic feedback about SharePlus from our customers.
