Digium Expands Asterisk Support

Digium Inc. has introduced a new subscription-based service designed to give Asterisk customers and partners faster, easier and unlimited access to the companys service and support.

Digium’s subscription-based services, offered in Silver, Gold and Platinum levels, will be available for all business-class products, beginning with the Asterisk Appliance.

The new subscription services offer extended hardware and software warranty; unlimited support by e-mail; hardware replacement; configuration backup; phone support; and ongoing software and security updates.

The first year of subscription-based services is bundled into the Asterisk Appliance, and Digium said it will provide subscriptions for all of its products based on Asterisk Business Edition.

The Asterisk Appliance with the first-year Silver Subscription will start at $1,145 and is available from Digium distributors and resellers in the United States and Canada. International versions will be available next quarter.
