LifeSize, the high-definition video communications company, recently announced that two senior executives have joined LifeSize to bolster the companys global marketing, sales and support organizations. Adam Taylor, formerly with Avid Technology, has been named executive vice president of worldwide sales and customer service; and John Doyle, who previously was with Secure Computing Corp., has been appointed chief marketing officer. Taylor and Doyle both will be located at LifeSize headquarters in Austin, reporting to LifeSize CEO, Craig Malloy.
Over the past 15 years, Taylor has been a key contributor in helping to guide Avid Technology from a $7 million per year venture-backed startup company to a publicly traded corporation worth more than $900 million. Taylor has great experience building high-performance teams, managing significant financial responsibility, growing diverse distribution and hybrid sales models, and creating field marketing programs that drive awareness and demand, LifeSize said.
Taylor will oversee the entire sales organization and the customer support organization. His charter is to continue building LifeSizes worldwide sales revenue and channel network. While LifeSizes sales team does indeed prospect and close deals, the indirect channel partners fulfill the orders and provide ongoing support.
Rob Hughes, who has run LifeSizes worldwide sales and support organization since its inception, will assume the role of senior vice president of Americas sales operations, reporting to Taylor.
Doyle has more than 20 years experience in the data communications and network security industries. At Secure Computing, he served as vice president of product marketing, responsible for the companys firewall, secure content management, and identity and access management portfolios.
LifeSize offers a fully integrated and interoperable high-definition video communications product suite that enables all types of businesses around the globe to more effectively interact and collaborate across distances.
