Optimum Lightpath Program Results in Partner Growth

Optimum Lightpath, the business broadband service provider of Cablevision Systems Corp., said Wednesday the companys number of channel partners has tripled since its Referral Partner Program launched last year.

The program is designed to be simple and to allow systems integrators, VARs and IT consultants generate income without much investment in staff training and certification, the company said. Optimum Lightpath said it has seen more than 100 new partners join since the inception of the referral program.

New York-based Optimum Lightpath’s network spans more than 2,700 route miles across, providing fiber to the business premises to more than 2,000 commercial buildings. The companys services include a line of carrier-grade metro Ethernet services, Internet access, managed services, remote access and business continuity services.

For qualified referrals, partners are eligible to receive commissions equal to either one or two months of the customer’s monthly bill, up to a maximum of $25,000 per sale, the company said.
