BT announced the launch of a global service that will enable Internet service providers, cable providers and other resellers to deliver flexible VoIP-based services to their subscribers. The new offering is targeted at global communication providers outside of the United Kingdom and allows entrants to the market to become a communication provider overnight, without the cost and complexity of having to invest in expensive IT and network infrastructure, says BT.
Using a fully redundant globally distributed IP network, BTs IP Voice Managed Service offers a single Web-based user interface andadvanced multilayered security, including session border controller (SBC) functionality and VoIP firewall capabilities.
