Linksys and Sotto Wireless are rolling out a new service that bundles Linksys wired and wireless networking hardware and desktop IP phones with Sotto’s hosted communication service to offer VARs with a communications platform for the small business market.
Sotto’s service gives each employee in a business a single number and voice mail for office and mobile calling and wireless e-mail and messaging. Linksys’ networking and VoIP hardware will offer support for the service.
Sotto uses devices from Nokia featuring office Wi-Fi and cellular network connectivity options. Sotto also offers an office phone platform featuring Linksys Voice System (LVS) IP desk phones. This offers VoIP service and wired networking for connecting notebooks, printers and other wired devices, the company said.
The Linksys products bundled with the Sotto Service include the VPN Router (RV082); Wireless Access Point (WAP200); Linksys Voice System (LVS) Desktop IP Phones (SPA901, SPA942); PoE Adapter (WAPPOE12); and 8-port 10/100 and Gigabit Switches (SRW208P, SRW208MP, SRW2008MP).
The bundles are available through VARs in Seattle, and Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh in North Carolina. The companies said they will add more cities in the coming months.
