NTT America (Booths 714-716), a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corp., announced the availability of 10gbps Ethernet (10GigE) on its Global IP Network.
The service is available for both IPv4 and IPv6 transport. NTT America and its Global IP Network Business unit (GIN) are offering access to connections throughout North America, Asia and Europe.
Channel partners can sell the offering, and NTT America is looking for partners that sell larger bandwidth deals, the company said.
We have found that many of our leading technology customers are driving the IP applications of tomorrow, and their businesses have massive IP transit requirements in order to support IPTV, video on demand, massive transit aggregation from consumer broadband and Web-hosting centers, said Kazuhiro Gomi, vice president of GIN.
An example of the GIN services high-speed offering is the transfer of an hour-long television program in 1.35 seconds or 1.25gbps.
GIN also monitors all services on a 24/7 basis through a multicontinent NOC. Customers also have direct access to GINs engineering staff for support services if necessary.
GIN service provider customers are guaranteed reliability through financially backed SLAs, the company said.
