InfoHighway has introduced Metro Ethernet services using Actelis Networks carrier Ethernet-over-copper EFMplus technology.
EFMplus grooms multiple digital copper circuits into a carrier-grade link delivered via an Ethernet handoff at the customer’s location, enabling InfoHighway to deliver its ZOOM high-speed Internet at speeds of 5mbps to 30mbps to more customers in its footprint, said Raul Martynek, president and CEO of InfoHighway.
The Actelis platform combines EFM transmission technology with advanced carrier Ethernet switching capabilities. It eliminates the risk of interference from other legacy telecom services in the network, ensuring the maximum amount of bandwidth per connection, according to Actelis.
