US Signal, a bandwidth provider to carrier and businesses in the Midwest, announced the expansion of its fiber-optic network to include seven additional on/off ramps in metro Milwaukee, Wis.
US Signals network deployment includes an 81-mile fiber SONET ring extending around Milwaukee powered by the Cisco Systems Inc. 1545 DWDM platform.
The addition of the metro Milwaukee SONET ring and connecting DWDM transport adds cost-effective access for advanced data solutions, as well as one-stop connectivity within or outside of the Midwest region, said Stephen Oyer, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
US Signal also lit two new access points in Illinois at La Grange (LGRCILLG) and Northbrook (NBRKILNT). Both access points were added to its protected DWDM fiber routes already serving the Illinois markets.
As a full-service solutions provider, US Signal offers unlimited high-speed capacity, dark fiber and colocation services, and also works with customers to design and build new network construction projects.
