Mammoth Networks has completed an IP upgrade within its network core, the company said Tuesday.
With the upgrade, which is powered by the Redback SmartEdge router, Mammoth is able to support MPLS, marrying its ATM aggregation with its IP network. The Gillette, Wyo.-based Mammoth said it can provide managed and multisite VPN, QoS and virtual leased line services.
These services are offered to Mammoth’s service provider partners for resale.
The upgrades at Mammoth’s IP core expand the company’s capacity to 192,000 subscribers. The company currently can support 54,000 data loops on its private network, and continues to expand circuit volume and size to meet demand, most recently completing an OC3 ring connecting its network cores.
Mammoth operates network cores in Billings, Mont., Casper, Wyo., Denver and Seattle with a tertiary core in Phoenix.
