McLeodUSA Inc. has unveiled a platform for business customers that provides voice and data services, including direct VoIP peering between a customers IP PBX and the McLeodUSA network.
McLeodUSA IP PBX Trunking delivers the services over one high-speed connection with bandwidth capabilities ranging from 1.5mbps to 45mbps, the company said. The platform is intended to increase calling capacity, reduce local and long-distance costs, and provide a direct SIP between an IP PBX and the McLeodUSA VoIP network, the company said.
McLeodUSA IP PBX Trunking includes six to 50 voice calling paths with unlimited local calling and expanded calling area over one T1 circuit; long-distance; and high speed Internet.
Customers also can combine IP PBX Trunking with McLeodUSAs IP VPN service for private voice and data networking for enterprises with multiple business locations or remote teleworkers.
Perhaps the most important benefit to McLeodUSA IP PBX Trunking is that fact that all voice and data traffic travels on an IP network owned and managed by McLeodUSA, said Chris MacFarland, CTO of McLeodUSA . We have invested over $3 billion in our 17,000 route mile ne twork covering 20 states. The fact that we own, monitor and manage this network assures our customers their sensitive communications remain secure.
