With its recent designation as Avaya compliant, Covergence now can offer its Eclipse SIP security and management platforms to customers using Avaya Inc. IP telephony products.
Covergence’s platform enables businesses to connect their Avaya Communication Manager platforms to an IP network. Companies then can roll out secure VoIP throughout their organizations, Covergence said.
With the SIP trunking platform, customers can move their telephony traffic onto an IP network, eliminating toll charges, and management and administration costs. At the same time, they can deploy services between the provider and enterprise or among remote locations, as well as secure connections to remote Avaya handsets in branch offices. Eclipse provides Avaya customers with validated and encrypted connections to protect user information, plus security to defend the service from attacks.
“As VoIP continues its move into the mainstream for business communications, linking users together throughout the entire organization will require solutions be able to span the continuum of connections required to do so,” said Bob O’Neil, CEO of Covergence.
“With our ability to work with leading VoIP applications, solutions and platforms, we are enabling Avaya customers to implement secure SIP trunks today — even over untrusted networks — connecting their entire enterprise together.”
