GreatCall Inc., an MVNO targeted at baby boomers and their parents, has appointed David Inns as company president and COO.
Inns will be responsible for launching and managing the growth of GreatCall’s service, which hinges on the Jitterbug phone, designed for those wanting a simplified interface.
Inns’ 20 years of experience in the telecom industry most recently included a stint as vice president of consumer markets at Bell Mobility in Toronto, where he was responsible for coordinating all aspects of the consumer wireless business from strategy to profitability. Additionally, he has served as the vice president of consumer marketing for the wireline business at Bell Canada and was a partner at DiamondCluster International, a premier management consulting firm, where he specialized in helping telecom companies to improve the economics of their wireless businesses.
“GreatCall is an accomplished service provider that has designed the perfect product and service for finally bringing the wireless revolution to an aging North America,” said Inns. “I am excited to guide GreatCall to the next level of accomplishments, including the launch of Jitterbug cellular phones and personalized services.”
