Sales from indirect channel partners contribute to a $310 billion annual industry, according to the new State of the Channel study conducted by Dicarlos Davis, an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University and Chetan Mehta, a consultant for Houston Technology Center.
Davis who spoke at the Fall 2006 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday said channel partners median commissions total $500,000 every year, and their median transactions come to $1,800 per month. The State of the Channel research also found that more than 50 percent of total telecom revenue comes from 10 states.
The study will be revisited annually, Davis said.
