InfoHighway Communications (Booth 700) announced it will introduce two new services, ZOOM High-Speed Internet Access Service and Remote Number Service, in the downstate New York/Northern New Jersey markets next month.
ZOOM Internet connectivity, provisioned on InfoHighways data network, offers customers synchronous speeds ranging from 5mbps to 30mbps, at rates starting at $749 per month for 5mbps up to $1,999 for 30mbps. The handoff to the customer is FastEthernet, so there is no need for a router on the customer premises. Available in almost any building in Manhattan below 56th Street, and in other InfoHighway on-net locations around the New York and New Jersey area, ZOOM will be offered to customers on one-, two- or three-year contracts.
Remote Number Service is a virtual office-type offering that provides customers with local phone numbers in any major U.S. market, allowing them to establish a virtual presence all across the country. This inbound-only foreign exchange service forwards all calls made to these remote numbers directly to the customers InfoHighway voice service for a flat monthly rate of $50 per number, regardless of usage volumes.
The launch of ZOOM and Remote Number Service is consistent with our goal of continuing to grow our product portfolio and offer leading-edge products and services to both our customers and agent partners, said Raul K. Martynek, InfoHighways president and CEO.
