FDN Communications recently announced the addition of Rodney Sands, as its manager of wholesale services.
In his new position, Sands will join the companys strategic sales team, leading the acquisition of large revenue streams through the sale of wholesale backhaul T1, DSL, and UNE port and switch services. He will provide UNE-P alternatives to resellers, as well as VoIP and wireless providers through FDNs dense, facility-based networks throughout Florida and Georgia.
Sands has nine years of telecommunications experience. Prior to his current appointment, he served as a national account manager for Teligent and US LEC. Sands also worked as a sales representatives for FDN in the Jacksonville, Fla., market from 1998 to 2000.
FDN is poised for growth in the wholesale services market, noted Jim DaBramo, vice president of strategic sales for FDN. With the professionalism and experience Rodney brings back to FDN, we look forward to significant expansion in this arena.
During his time in Jacksonville, Sands also served as a volunteer for the Otis Smith Kids Foundation, getting Florida businesses engaged in fundraising events, like the nonprofits annual celebrity golf tournament.
