WAV Inc., a value-added distributor of WLAN, security, broadband, RFID, VoIP and portable data collection gear, on Monday announced partnerships with Inscape Data Corp., Baracoda Inc. and Summit Data Communications Inc.
The WAV-Inscape agreement enables the companies to provide distribution and reseller support services. WAV said its solutions providers will benefit from access to Wi-Fi and wireless surveillance products through its agreement with Inscape. Inscape manufactures hardware for outdoor wireless networks and long-range point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications including the AirGoggle line of indoor and outdoor wireless audio/video surveillance systems. The AirGoggle systems are designed to communicate via wireless networks and can be managed through Inscapes video servers or standard PCs without the need for an additional closed-circuit TV network.
WAV also will add Baracoda Inc. devices to its product line. Baracoda is a provider of Bluetooth wireless Barcode and RFID readers, with devices ranging from Bluetooth pen-based scanner/encoder units for handheld devices to the 2604-series gun-shaped scanners, along with their associated APIs and middleware solutions for mobile data capture needs.
In addition, The WAV-Summit partnership enables WAV to deploy Summits WLAN radio modules. Summits 10-gigabit suite of compact flash and PCMCIA 802.11g Wi-Fi adaptors include customized radio hardware and support for external antennae.
