KoolSpan Inc., a maker of private networking security products, has expanded its channel program to include qualified VARs, systems integrators, outsourcers and specialized consultants.
The program previously focused on a few VARs; the company said on Tuesday it wants to accelerate sales of its devices by opening up to more indirect channel salespeople.
The KoolSpan Authorized Partner Program provides profit margin on product sales as well as discounts for consultant-related projects. Other benefits include dedicated account management; sales and engineering support; and lead generation and marketing support.

KoolSpans per-packet, 256-bit AES Ethernet encryption uses Smart Card-to-Smart Card architecture and protects sensitive information without impacting bandwidth use or performance because it operates at Layer 2, according to the company. Its flagship product is SecurEdge, which allows trusted users inside and outside of the firewall to access their companies private controls or business networks.
