Covad Communications Group Inc. partners soon will be able to sell VoIP phones made to the very small business and small business marketplace.
Covad has made a distribution agreement with Vodavi Technology Inc., whose partner and largest shareholder, LG-Nortel Co. Ltd., will make the phone models. Vodavi will provide sales and support.
The 6800 Series phones use the MGCP and SIP standards. They work with Covads vPBX service, allowing users to access features such as find me/follow me, call logs and contact lists.
“Our goal is to transform business communications through cost-effective technology solutions, said Prakash Nagpal, director of product strategy at Covad. The 6800 Series is a welcome addition to our hassle-free VoIP service for small businesses and is yet another step in providing our customers with the flexibility theyre looking for in a managed IP environment.
