Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems (Booth 1317) has announced that CLEC and long-distance company NTS Communications (Booth 1008) has upgraded its network management software to include new versions of Equinoxs Manager and TeleLink software systems.
For the past several years, NTS has been running Equinox software across our Alcatel/Lucent multiswitch network, said Gary Sams, vice president of information systems at NTS Communications. Based on our positive experience with Equinox software, it was only natural that we returned to Equinox to upgrade our software systems to take advantage of the latest network management features and efficiencies.
The Manager system documents network performance and activity in detail by analyzing usage data from the switch. TeleLink filters and converts call data for use by OSS elements including billing and network traffic analysis, automating the flow and ensuring the integrity of data as it travels from the switching platform to billing and other downstream OSS processes.
Since its introduction in April 2002, TeleLink has been well accepted by the communications industry, said David West, Equinoxs executive vice president. More and more carriers like NTS Communications are concluding that TeleLink complements their previously installed operational support software applications for real-time data collection, viewing and searching.
NTS was founded in 1981 as a West Texas reseller of long-distance services, and now provides local, long-distance, voice mail, data connectivity, video and Internet access to retail customers in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.
Security and UCaaS and SD-WAN, the triple-headed monster, dominated the news last week. https://t.co/Yoq7yrjhkf
