AT&T Debuts Ultravailable Managed Services

AT&T Inc. this week unveiled new managed services that interconnect business sites in metropolitan and wide area networks for SMBs.

AT&T Ultravailable Service Option 2 is meant to provide a more affordable ring access alternative, the company said. It also works for DWDM, which increases bandwidth over existing fiber-optic backbones. This means users can support multiple functions, such as access aggregation, network redundancy and data mirroring applications, as well as multiple services, such as Ethernet, voice and storage.

The service also provides business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities to large businesses.
