Wireless Extenders Inc. (Booth 226), a developer of cell phone signal boosters that enhance reception, at the Spring 2006 Channel Partners Conference & Expo announced special reseller pricing, regardless of the quantity of items ordered at the trade show.
Down from the suggested retail price of $299, resellers will pay $199 for the new YX500CEL device, and the YX500PCS version that is compatible with PCS (1900MHz) phones.
We wanted our resellers to be able to become familiar with our consumer-friendly solution at a profitable buy-in for them, said Lloyd R. Meese, president and CEO of Wireless Extenders. Usually you have to buy some quantity to receive this special pricing.
The consumer-focused products capture and amplify the 800MHz or 1900MHz signals where they are weak or cannot penetrate, such as inside a home office. Wireless Extenders cited research showing more than 35 percent of cellular phone users nationwide experience poor quality or loss of signal strength when using a cell phone in their offices or homes. Increasing indoor coverage can result in better productivity, extended battery life, and the reduction or elimination of dropped calls. It also means users can take advantage of wireless applications such as instant messaging and 3G high-speed data picture mail.
The devices work with carriers including Cingular Wireless LLC, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Communications Inc.
