The new program, which opens SAVVIS entire solutions portfolio (including the Utility Services platform) to qualified partners, is complemented with a new branding approach to support the initiative. The new Partner Services Team now will offer leading solutions that enable key partners to leverage the SAVVIS portfolio of virtualized utility services with the branded products and services their partners currently provide.
The industry is changing and customer demand for flexible and robust IT solutions is forcing IT service organizations to adapt their offerings to compete in the marketplace, said David Harvey, head of partner services at SAVVIS. Its not just about the programs anymore; its really about the solutions available. SAVVIS virtualized approach, which capitalizes on the economic benefits associated with utility services, will allow partners to expand the breadth of their product offerings, enhance business opportunities to win deals, and strengthen their position for further growth.
To support the program, SAVVIS will offer: a new branding strategy for both SAVVIS and partner use that complements the corporate look and feel; increased resources across the United States to enable a local focus on partners; increased program features, such as training and sales support; and a revamped partner portal.
SAVVIS channel program has been in place since 2001, and this new product offering, branding strategy and regionalized focus is the most comprehensive program to date, said the company.
