Brightpoint (Booth 229) has announced that its subsidiary, Brightpoint North America L.P., has signed several distribution agreements with key vendors.
First, Brightpoint will distribute RTX America Inc. devices including the RTX DUALphone, a cordless phone that supports VoIP softphones and regular landline services. The dual functionality phone is targeted for the Brightpoint sales channels including national retail, independent retail, carriers and VARs.
Brightpoint also will provide logistics services such as end-user fulfillment, Web development and hosting, inventory management, e-commerce, returns management and order processing.
By entering into an agreement with European Consulting and Computer Business S.A. (ECCB), Brightpoint also will distribute ECCB devices such as the Skype-certified USB handset Simply Phones, which allow users to make Skype VoIP calls without a headset.
The agreement authorizes Brightpoint initially to distribute ECCB products in the Americas with a provision to include additional geographies later.
Lena Wittbjer, a spokeswoman for ECCB, said, We are confident that our relationship will further increase the reach of Skype on the American markets, allowing more people to realize the simplicity and value of making phone calls free of charge through the Skype software.
Also joining with mobile content provider Handango, Brightpoint will offer Handango InHand and Handangos distribution platform, Handango AMPP, to mobile operators, independent dealers and agents, and retail stores in the United States.
The Handango InHand family of on-device clients enables mobile operators to deliver a robust content discovery and purchasing experience across all smartphones.
By using Handango InHand, operators can present a compelling, branded interface, increase content revenue and data traffic, and deliver a superior download experience with features such as one-click access, download safeguard and online backup.
