XO Communications Inc. said today it has expanded its VoIP services bundle, XOptions Flex.
Businesses now can use XOptions Flex with their existing PBX equipment or digital key systems, and can support locations with up to 160 employees.
The company said nearly a third of its XOptions Flex sales come from its indirect channel
XOptions Flex is a VoIP services bundle for businesses that combines unlimited local and long-distance calling, dedicated Internet access and Web hosting for a flat monthly price. The expansion means XOptions Flex now works for mid-sized companies that are connected to an ISDN PRI or digital trunk, allowing users to take advantage of IP-enabled capabilities and features without having to replace their existing phone systems.
XOptions Flex enables businesses to quickly and cost-effectively take advantage of the benefits of VoIP without having to invest in new equipment, said Charlie Cary, vice president of marketing at XO Communications. In less than one year, nearly 3,000 businesses have deployed XOptions Flex, and these enhancements will enable businesses with larger offices to enjoy the benefits XOptions Flex offers.
XOptions Flex uses the XO national IP network and softswitch technology to carry voice calls more efficiently than traditional services that rely on the PSTN.
The upgraded offering now is available to customers in Chicago, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota and St. Petersburg, Fla., Minneapolis/St. Paul, and San Francisco. Nationwide customers will be able to access the upgrades in the first half of this year.
