Systems integrator Quiconnect, which is helping Sprint Nextel Corp. broaden its European WLAN presence, said this week it has made more agreements to help Sprint expand its WLAN coverage in Canada, Hong Kong and South Africa.
Quiconnect has signed new access and interconnection agreements with FatPort in Canada; BeeNet in Hong Kong; and Internet Solutions in South Africa. The deals add more than 900 hotspots for Sprints enterprise customers.
Sprint Nextel last year chose Quiconnect to act as its European partner to establish wider WLAN access so traveling Sprint customers can access e-mail and corporate systems.
