EmergeCore Partners With Frontier Communications

In a move to make SOHO business networking as easy as a phone call to a local ISP, EmergeCore Networks (Booth 1364) of Boise, Idaho, announces its first national incumbent telecommunications provider agreement today with Frontier Communications.

Effective immediately, Frontier will provide EmergeCores award-winning IT IN A BOX, an all-in-one network appliance, as a value-added option with its bundled DSL business-class product for home networks and small- and medium-business customers throughout its footprint.

Todays partnership between EmergeCore and Frontier is one of the first of what analysts predict will be many similar partnerships that will enter the home and business marketplace over the next several years.

Frontier is a full-service communications provider and one of the largest ILECs in the country, serving customers in 23 states. Frontier is an early innovator in what is quickly becoming the future business model for ILECs and service carriers, says Dave Brown, EmergeCore president and CEO. Frontier is looking to bundle and integrate its Business Internet services with service enhancements, including the Managed Business Server, to add value and to maintain its competitive advantage. Small-business IT services are a great way for Frontier Communications, with its low-cost and broad set of capabilities, to deliver added value through the EmergeCore IT-100. Its an ideal Frontier-provided device.

Frontier is committed to delivering innovative and reliable products and solutions with an emphasis on convenience, service and customer satisfaction, says Pete Hayes, senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development for Citizens Communications Co., Frontiers parent company.

IT IN A BOX is a perfect fit with FrontierWorks Business Connections. By bundling the IT-100 with our popular small-to-medium business high-speed Internet services (FrontierWorks Business Connections), we can give our customers a greater price break and a stronger competitive advantage than any other Internet provider has been able to offer. Two great packages mean a win-win for everyone!

The IT-100 all-in-one network solution for small and medium businesses provides wired or wireless connectivity and basic network infrastructure. The IT-100 is the first network appliance in the industry to include a CRM (customer relationship management) application, which gives users the ability to manage centralized customer information and to share customer data across the entire organization.

The IT IN A BOX solution saves businesses the upfront cost of complex IT solutions and also allows small and medium business customers, which are defined as businesses of 25 users or less, to eliminate the need for costly IT support.

The IT IN A BOX appliance can support PCs, Macintosh workstations, Unix machines, or any device with an Ethernet or wireless access point, including laptops, Tablet PCs and PDAs.
