BellSouth Corp. and Yahoo! Inc. today announced they are providing co-branded broadband service to BellSouth FastAccess DSL subscribers throughout the carriers nine-state operating region.
Yahoo! has a similar deal with SBC Communications; the two companies co-brand DSL and related content.
Starting late next year, all new BellSouth residential broadband subscribers will receive the co-branded services, at no extra cost. The nations third-largest local phone company also is offering its existing customers the chance to receive the content.
Services will include a customized browsing environment; premium e-mail with spam protection and 2 GB of storage for primary accounts; digital photos features, including unlimited storage and access to high-resolution downloads; Internet radio with access to music videos; and popular news and entertainment segments.
