TelCove (Booth 305), a provider of telecommunications services to enterprise customers and carriers, says its Carrier Services Group continues to expand its portfolio of carrier products and markets served.
Since last Februarys CompTel/ASCENT event, TelCove has announced alternative access solutions to carriers challenged by the FCC ruling on unbundled network elements.
Additionally, with the acquisition of 21 markets from KMC Telecom, TelCove has increased its network footprint for carrier access in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
The number of TelCove markets has gone from 52 to 70, and from four regions to five. The carriers fiber miles also have grown from 10,500 to 11,600; the number of buildings served has increased from approximately 3,300 to 3,500. Finally, TelCove says, it has expanded PoPs and LSO connections from 400 to more than 500.
All of the new markets have been connected to TelCoves intercity fiber optic backbone, making them immediately available to carrier customers using TelCoves long-haul services, including Intercity Ethernet and private-line.
