PAETEC Communications Inc. (Booth 804), a subsidiary of PAETEC Corp., is announcing that President Chris Bantoft has taken over leadership of its Wholesale Markets Group, including its reseller channel. Bantoft is also responsible for developing sales via agent partners.
Bantoft will be working with various PAETEC initiatives, including the expansion of the companys MPLS network, which began in June 2005. The network will expand from 27 to 151 markets, enabling the company to offer data services in every major market in the United States and extend MPLS with QoS to areas previously considered off-net.
Another initiative is the PAETEC Circuit Utilization Up-sell Tool, a utility for resellers that enables them to determine accurately the bandwidth use of customers. Sales staff can employ the tools easy-to-use interface to generate a report for customers. That report then can be used to contact customers about purchasing additional bandwidth.
A third initiative is a slate of new IP services, including DID aggregation, SIP trunking, hosted IP Centrex and hosted PBX. However, even as PAETEC moves into IP, the company says it will support both hybrid IP/TDM and traditional TDM network environments.
