Six IT companies demonstrating creativity and innovation in hardware and software product development and in channel strategies recently were honored by the members of the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
The CompTIA Breakaway 2005 and CompTIA CT Summit best in show award
winners were selected from the votes of more than 200 VIP VARs who participated in more than 100 vendor roundtable sessions at the two recent conferences.
“The companies singled out for this special recognition are changing in a positive way,” says John Venator, president and CEO, CompTIA. “The fact that these awards were chosen by the reseller community is significant, because the resellers are on the front lines deploying these products, services and technologies for customers. On behalf of the membership of the Computing Technology Industry Association, I congratulate all of the winners.”
Best of Breakaway awards went to:
*3Com Corp., a provider of secure, converged voice and data networking solutions for enterprises of all sizes, for Best Channel Strategy;
*McAfee Inc., a vendor of intrusion prevention and security risk management, for Best Software Product; and
