H. Russell Frisby, Jr., the former CEO of CompTel/ALTS, has joined the Washington office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP (K&LNG) as a partner in its telecommunications practice.
Frisby worked for CompTel in its various merged forms for nearly seven years. He left the association in March, replaced by Drew Walker, formerly of ITC^DeltaCom.
Frisby plans to focus on regulatory and corporate matters affecting public utilities, and companies in the communications and technology industries. He has represented clients before the FCC, state utility commissions and federal courts, and testified before Congress.
Russells strong telecommunications background, both in the private and public sectors, is an invaluable asset for both the firm and its clients who seek counsel in the rapidly evolving and complex areas of telecommunications and public utilities, said R. Charles Miller, administrative partner of K&LNGs Washington office, in a statement.
K&LNG employs approximately 950 lawyers who represent entrepreneurs, growth and middle market companies, capital markets participants, and FORTUNE 100 and FTSE 100 global corporations nationally and internationally.
