Veraz Creates Call Center Compression Technology

Veraz Networks has developed Call Center Network Compression for international call centers. The company introduced the service this week, and says it gives providers and enterprise users ROI of less than six months.

The technology is based on Verazs I-Gate 4000 media gateways that have a voice compression ration of up to 12 to 1 for voice, according to Veraz. Its internal redundancy features also guarantee the continuation of voice calls, fax and modem traffic under any network or system failure with five-nines system availability.

“Our customers with multicity and multicountry call centers should benefit greatly from the significant costs savings that this Call Center Compression solution provides,” says Amit Chawla, executive vice president of global marketing at Veraz Networks.
